This beautiful commissioned set has as its centerpiece a gorgeous etched pendant of black 250 million-year-old Irish Connemara marble, depicting an illustration from the Book of Kells. Written around 800 AD, the Book of Kells contains the Latin versions of the four gospels. It is currently on exhibit at Trinity College in Dublin and regarded as the most remarkable artifact of medieval Celtic art.The illustration on the pendant is of the three wise men who sought truth, charity and love. The pendant’s beauty is enhanced by tranquil green jade – often ascribed with having the qualities of clarity, courage, justice, wisdom and modesty – and the intricate designs of sterling Bali beads. Tiny Swarovski crystals add just a hint of sparkle.
